The FCLN-RAPC proudly congratulates several FCLN members in leading, advocating, and participating in 2026 ITL Conference, which was recently held in Toronto last April 23-25, 2026.
The Internationally Trained Lawyers Conference and Gala took place from April 23–25, 2026, at the Marriott Eaton Centre. This year’s event was chaired by FCLN Past President Rachel Sachs.
The conference brought together internationally trained lawyers and legal professionals from across Canada for meaningful discussions, networking, and community-building.
We congratulate Rachel and the entire organizing team on a successful event. We also recognize members of the FCLN community who contributed to planning the conference such as Joseph G Cuenca, the ITL Section Chair for the CBA BC Branch, sharing valuable insights during the panel “Advocacy Spotlight: Powering the ITL Future.” As an internationally trained lawyer himself, Joseph has been a strong advocate for and supporter of the ITL community for many years.
Other members such as Elizabeth Joy Cortez, Carlos Faustino, Cassandra Morcilla, Sheryl Manago, and Katherine Ann Fermo diligently worked hard in making the event happen.
Our directors Lia Traboco, Ren Guidolin and members like Trisha Fernandez were also in attendance. It was a great opportunity to meet current and new Fil/Fil-Can legal professionals.
It is evident that Filipino/Filipino-Canadian legal community is present and actively supporting ITL professionals. The FCLN remains proud to support ITLs as they navigate and build their legal careers in Canada.
